student lounge @ Friday, March 30, 2007

Blogging from the Student Lounge of SILS now :)
I only could get the internet connection from 1st April.
I WANT TO UPLOAD PHOTOSSSSSS!!!!!!! My blog seems empty without photos.

The cherry blossoms(sakura) are really pretty!!! Lovely to the maximum.
I'll upload the photos so look out for updates pls x)

Met up with Andrea and Jade in Ikebukuro yesterday. Feels weird meeting my Singaporean friends in Tokyo ^^;
We went to K-BOOKS(to get Andrea's doujinshi), ANIMATE and THE cafe.
I got a kurama keychain from K-BOOKS!!!!

Anyway, THE cafe...guess what kind of cafe.
Its called B;lily rose cafe, where waitresses dress up as guys. Heard of Maid Cafe in Akihabara?
Yea, like the guy version of that. But not that sick, cos its cool girls dressing themselves up as pretty guys. Andrea totally fell in love with this guy(girl) named Seiji. Yes, she was quite a bishi. Pretty face, low voice, tall(about 170 plus), pleasantly styled hair....etc....
I'll be going there with my sister later, she got interested after I told her about the cafe.

There'll be the academic orientation tomorrow.

Thats it for now

from shibuya @ Tuesday, March 27, 2007

Blogging from MANGA HIROBA, an internet cafe in Shibuya.
I still can't get the internet connection in my laptop. Its quite troublesome, i need to get a provider first, and then get a line...blah blah blah.
I can't wait to get my cell phone...Its alright, I'll prove to the world that a teenager can survive in Tokyo city even without a cell phone for a week.

So far, I've been doing quite well. Maybe cos I met Megumi Ogata for 8hrs(!) last saturday.
The event was very fun!!!!!! I like her even more than before.
Pity that I didn't manage to win the maid costume set or the doctor costume set in the BINGO game(ooopss...) Told you I can be quite an otaku.
Anyway, I'll probably have the chance to meet her in April again :) If everything goes well(like no make-up lectures or seminars in uni)

Since I do not know when I can blog again...I'll just wish Happy Birthday to 3 of my friends.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JELAINE,SHOULIAN,PEIYI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for the bbq party the other day!

Speaking of which, I have yet to upload the photos from the gatherings I had before my departure. I'll upload them once I get the internet connection in my laptop!

What else...

I went to Shibuya and Harajuku with EnHui and Maya(new friend from SILS) after the Japanese Placement Test today. SHOPPING all the way :D I bought a pair of low-cut boots for only 1050yen(approx $15). I just need a pair of footwear other than my pumps...

The English and Japanese Placement Tests were not much of a problem. Just that I got sleepy towards the end. But something curious...During the Japanese tests, which consisted of two sections(grammar and essay), there were some Koreans next to and infront of me whom just slept without attempting it. Okay, maybe their language is not up to standard but can at least try right? Or else whats the point of entering a Japanese University.

Moving into the dorm tomorrow.
And my sister and mum will be coming to Tokyo :)

Blogging from internet cafe in Shinjuku:)

....

Its really tough to type with the Japanese keyboard!!!! The signs are everywhere....

Anyway, thanks to the people who sent me off in the airport, for all the smses and calls, and whoever whom wished me a safe flight.
Will write postcards/letters once I settle down.

And I dont know why the JAL cabin attendant gave me the JAL KIDS toy...
Maybe cos I was tearing when I read my mum's letter during take-off.

In a rush to Megumi Ogata's event now!!!!
Ciao, will write soon!!!!!
Firmin,PJ,terence, thanks for the tag board msges!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SARAH AND CRISTAL :)

Saturday was a celebration day.
Met CI wing at Dhoby Gaut in the afternoon to meet up for Sarah's b'day lunch/my farewell lunch. Sarah brought us to this modern pacific cuisine restaurant in Paradiz Centre. The price for the set lunch was quite reasonable :p

Went to Hui Ting's house in Toa Payoh at around 5.30pm to wish Cristal happy birthday,
and then to Firmin's place in Bishan for his 21st b'day celebrations.

THE GIRLS :)

ONE PROPER PIC OF THE GUYS.

CI WING AT TAO'S RESTAURANT.

Firmin-san, my fabulous 1T30 facil :)

Friday was the date with YiChun. We watched "Music and Lyrics"(romantic show!), shopped at bysi sales, walked around Plaza Singapura, went to Cine to search for presents, had dinner in Takashimaya.

And I met up with Yining in the afternoon today in town to chat :)
Yining, as usual, is so slim and pretty, I need her as my motivation to control my diet xD
No pics, but hope to take some on Thursday.

Plans for next week:
Monday: Dinner with Jeremy.
Tuesday: Family dinner at LA FORKETTA.
Wednesday: Anime group dinner
Thursday: Yoga Class & Meeting my CJC friends.
Friday: ZOOOOM

So its like...my afternoons are free. So that'll be the time for me to pack the stuffs (- -")

PEIKUAN :)

JULISA, the BABE x) Notice I look so dull beside you?
Never Forget our ultimate fantasy of marrying an angmoh!!

Photo taken on X'mas Eve last year. ARIGATO Noriko-san for saving a copy for me.

Peng Fei, Julisa, Ai Wee, Rachael,Noriko-san,Jimmy
Angela, Momo, Cindy, Iris, Pei Ling, Azmi
Pei Kuan, Zhang Han.

HMM, I don't have photos with the other managers but oh well...
What can I do now.

Short and Sweet reflections:

Thank You to the staff for their guidance throughout my whole waitress-ing experience.
Managers(Hara-san,Victor,Noriko-san), Senior Waitresses(Cindy,PeiLing...etc...), Chefs, "Papa" from Lobby Court bar who treated me well whenever I went to fetch Draft beer/V.Cliquot , Julisa who trained me as a "doorgirl", the friendly cashier auntie, the cleaner auntie xD, the stewarding auntie whom I frequently talked with in the locker room....etc....

Now I would miss the times:

*when Julisa,Noriko-san and I pigged on cookies from Lobby Court :p
*daily revenue calculations which prevented my Math mind from rusting
*talking to random people I meet in the locker room
*afternoon mocha time & stoning at The Coffee Bean.

All the rest of reflections(including negative comments) shall be written in my personal diary :)

-------------

SENTOSA with the class guys today.
YES, 4 out of 5 class guys + 1 out of 16 class girls.
Never mind, I'm considered one guy already, happy??
Besides, whenever I hang out with the guys from my class, it doesn't make me feel as if I'm with people of opposite gender. I wonder why, aye?

Together with Daniel in the beach tram! Enlisted tomorrow. ALL THE BEST, DANTHEMAN :D

WHEEE.

HAI!

MOMO is just posing like a JAPANESE tourist Ne.

Members of SENTOSA 15Mar'07.

Where T37 started. HOT:ENCORE ORIENTATION 02:05 @ SENTOSA.
Remember we had the reflections session there together with Clarissa and Mr Lee :D

Beach Volley-ing in Sentosa was fun. Just that I got some sun burnts :(
Nevertheless, I had a great time catching up with the class guys before I leave for Japan, and before they get enlisted. See you again guys :)

Rushed down to Toa Payoh for YOGA class with Hui Ting. The class today was relatively easy, not much difficult positions.
BUT...I guess I was too tired from the Sentosa trip & 5 hours sleep the night before...I fell asleep towards the end of the class that the instructor came to wake me up xp
RAWRRR, and according to Hui Ting, I slept with my mouth opened.
RAWWRRRRRRR freaking embarassing.

Come to think about it, YOGA is for relaxation(to me). So it means that the class today was so relaxing till I fall asleep. Yes, I am trying to console myself so please don't rub in anything.

DATE with YiChun at Dhoby Gaut tomorrow.

sunset @ Wednesday, March 14, 2007

Wednesday, 14th March was my last day at work.
Met quite a no. of VIPs, a lot to talk about, some photos to post, but shall leave them to another day.

Quite relieved now, cos I'll have the time to meet up with my friends now.
At the same time, feeling quite empty too, probably its the same emotion I got after finishing the 'A' Level examinations. It'll be gone in few days, I believe...

Right now, its time for me to clear up my room and to start packing my luggage.
Regarding the so-called "gathering" I mentioned in my post few days back, I don't think I can have it since the MPR was booked already, and theres so suitable date :(
It may sound like an excuse, but also, I do not like the idea of it sounding like a "farewell party" xp

Anyway, Sentosa with the class guys tmr! I mean, today later in the morning(1.45am in the midnight now).
Yoga class in the evening with Hui Ting.
Friday would be spent with YiChun for movie and lunch :)
Saturday...I guess I'll be meeting you, Yining? And will drop by at Firmin-san's party for a while (><)
Sunday...HMM???
Monday...Dinner with Jeremy I suppose.
Tuesday...Chat with XXXXX in the night!!!!!!! Hopefully I can make it.
Wednesday...Family Dinner at my eyecandy's restaurant.
Thursday...Last Yoga Class in the evening.
Friday...ZOOOOOOM to Japan in the morning.

for the love of @ Thursday, March 08, 2007

Today was my off-day from work but I believe the day was busier than my usual working day...
Firstly, I went to Liang Court Paris Miki in the late morning for my contact lense check-up, and to try on the trial lenses. Bought some sushi and bread from MEIJI-YA, and had lunch with my mum back at home.

Left the house again at 4pm plus, took a bus to CJC for their preparation for finale night.

Helped 6 girls to wear the yukata as their house costume. Their house name is ENKA, haha...so cool, wish I had a Japanese house back last year when I was a facil xD
I can't really remember but their hse cheer was something like...
Leader: "Oh Hail, Enka House"
Everyone: "BANZAI!!!!!"

OMG, thats so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After helping the girls, headed to Toa Payoh to join Hui Ting in the YOGA class.
Couldn't miss the class bcos I skipped the one last week( was in KL)

One hour later, after the class ended, I rushed back to CJ again to catch the results and the Mass Dance. The video montage was awesome, as usual :p The CJ FSV team is really pro.
And of course the Mass Dance rocked, as usual :) Thanks Jean for rushing down to CJ after your bible reading class, to be my partner for Bhangra xD Surprised I still managed to dance the whole of Bhangra. Its seriously one CJ orientation tradition :)

Time for photos :D

Amelia,Ethel,Fiona,Me,Dasha,Mel,Alison(Sorry, can't rmb some names and spelling!)

I admit, I'm still totally an amateur in "Kitsuke"(wearing of Yukata/Kimono).
My manager from Nadaman, Noriko-san will probably faint when she sees this xp
BUT I STILL TRIED MY BEST (><) Kitsuke-ed 6 girls in less than 1hr30min, when it took half hour for me to wear my yukata for Racial Harmony Day last year.
Glad the girls like it, i'm considering of setting up a Yukata rental centre for Racial Harmony Day this year in CJ :p
And the girls thanked me many times for the yukatas but to me, I have to thank them for giving an opportunity for me to help out at orientation in one way. I seriously love going back to CJ for orientation or whichever event. So, thanks :)

If there was an award given for Best Banner, I believe Enka would have gotten it.
Their banner is simple but AWESOME! SUBARASHII :D

Facils from Enka House. Yep, they should be proud of the hard work and effort they've dedicated for O2.

Two pretty girls, with one unglam one in the middle. I rushed down from Yoga Class so didn't have the time to change (- -")
The one Amelia wore was what I wore for Racial Harmony Day in J1 and facil item in o2'2006, while Mel wore the one when I was in J2.

JUST FOR FUN:

Started to go for longer hair in 2006. And I personally think the pink one suit me better.
Or maybe it is bcos of the lighting.

1st pic: JEAN my new Bhangra partner :) My fav pic from RHD 2006.
2nd pic: Peter Yap...haven't seen him for ages. Posted this photo cos its one of the funniest one I took in RHD 2005.
3rd pic: GAHHH, return of Mrs Mohan xD Sorry, its Yining!!!!
4th pic: 2T18 NINJAs. It was so hilarious :D
ARGH, one more time...I MISS SCHOOLING :(

EYECANDY @ Wednesday, March 07, 2007

Lessons ended at 12 noon on Monday cos of good 'A' Level results.
First time in CJC's history that the principal gave half-day??
Wow...must be proud of it.
But wait a minute, I was working full shift(11am-11pm) on that day...and the sch was enjoying its half- day, when we were the ones who got the results.
RAHHHHHHHH!!!! Whatever manz.

On a brighter and happier side, I got a new eyecandy at my workplace :)
Haha, just got to know this person on Tuesday.
I guess he is some F&B manager or something. As usual, momo goes for a man who is much older xD Moreover, hes got the same name as my previous eyecandy from my condominium management office. Yes ANNE, the one that u advised me to "drop the coins and books and...etc..." xD But sadly, he is not working at the management office anymore :(
Well, never mind!
Pls pls let me see my eyecandy again before I stop work next week (><)

...Gosh, I sound like a boy-crazy freak...(o_O)

Its my off-day tmr!! Going back to CJC to help out for finale night. The J2 facils from Enka House will be wearing Yukata...SO LOVELY :)

Mr Bala left a msg on my tag board, haha, so cool :)

Helping out at the JRS exhibition in St. Ignatius Church on Saturday and Sunday was great.
But I don't know whether I managed to communicate with the Primary Sch children properly, some of them looked lost...And their attention span is rather short.

The exhibition reminded me of the OCIP days at the Shan Refugee Camp in Chiang Mai.
Hm, I'll volunteer in OCIP trips in my university, if I have the chance to.
Its great to know that JRS is also arranging trips to other regions in Asia.
I would love to go for it, but...yea, if only I have the chance to.

JUGAS lunch at Kyomomoyama restaurant on Sunday afternoon was well-organised and interactive. Got to know couple of people who'll be studying in Japan like myself.
And there were people who'll be going to Tokyo University(To-dai) for their masters or research(kenkyuu), so it was like...WOW (o_O)
Great catching up with En Hui, cos we haven't met since the nyuushi day at WaseShibu High School. We're the only Singaporean students going to Waseda SILS, and we'll be taking the same flight on the 23rd. Omg, 17 days more!!!

I hope to have a gathering dinner at the multi-purpose room at my condominium. Its kinda late to send invitations but it'll be a free and easy party. Will get a catering service, msg my Secondary and JC friends. Honestly, I don't really favour the idea of having a combined gathering for both Secondary and JC friends but oh well...there aren't much more days till my departure and the day for gathering may not meet my friends' working schedule.
As I said, it'll be a free and easy party so there are no special games or performance or what, just stand/sit around in the room or the swimming pool area, chat for awhile, eat dinner, take some pics and thats it.
Will have it on a Sunday, but I'll be in Batam next Sunday so that leaves to this Sunday(11th).
Oh Gosh, I need to check the room booking and catering service.

Work tmr.

results @ Saturday, March 03, 2007

Thank you to Mr Lyncoln Lee, for believing in me that I'll get the grade that I want in Math.
For the consultations, and sorry if the girl gang intimidated you in the school canteen when you wanted to have a quiet meal.

Sorry to Mr Balaji, for not scoring an A in Biology. Yes, I read the message you wrote in my yearbook...But nevertheless, thank you for the consultations (both in school and online), and for providing a listening ear at times when I was troubled. P.s I don't think I can remove the "Mr." when I address you even after graduation :p

Thank you to Mrs Toh, who taught me since JC first 3 months, and made me confident in scoring a distinction for Chemistry. And maybe it was because of you, I started to like Chemistry.

Thank you to Ms Lim, for making GP a more interesting subject. For photocopying copies of Prelim Comprehension and solution for us. I remember few days before the GP 'A' Levels, your consultation schedule was fully occupied, but you still find some time for me to go through the NYJC/NJC paper. Congratulations in passing your JLPT 2.

Thank you to Mr Yee, for the Chemistry consultations(although you were teaching J1s), and for encouraging and consoling me online. Also for the gift I received the day before Biology Paper 1.

Thank you to the other teachers, Mrs Sandra Tan, Mr Bernard Yeong, Ms Fiona Soh, Mr Goh, Mrs Loke...etc...who helped me before and during 'A' Levels.

Thank you to all my studymates(Yining,HuiTing, other girls from my class, Jeanette) and random people whom I always met in the library for a short conversation(Xuming Chin-i and friends from T22, Claudio, Elena & Sherman, Santos..etc..). I would have just "zi bao zi qi" without all u guys( hope i used the chinese word correctly) Not forgetting Terence & Miah, the times when we stayed back in class, phone-called each other to share and discuss answers, and attended consultations together. Glad you guys did well :) And miah, go ahead and pursue your dream of becoming a -------. Shall hide it for your sake.

Congratulations to the top scorers, although they'll never read my blog. Xing Long, I don't think you remember but I talked to you once in the Chemistry Lab regarding the Chem 'S' Paper trial. And you actually offered to help me with the S paper questions xD
Eugene, knew you would make it. Thank you for helping me with Math and Chem.

To all the people who got grades they did not wish for. I may not fully understand your feelings but may hope be with you, don't give up but move on. There'll always be a way.

Thank you to Yichun, for supporting me outside school, believing in me that I'll get the grades I wanted, and coming all the way down to CJC, disguising yourself in a Cedar Girls' uniform(heh). Hang our soon!!!! CHIJMES.CHIJMES.CHIJMES!

Thank you to the people who cared by wishing me good luck, and asking about my results via SMS and MSN. Uncle Moses, Alui, Ying Min, Angeline, Deborah, Shemuel, Jelaine..etc...

Thank you to my mum, for preparing delicious, warm home-made food whenever I was tired, and waking up early in the morning to wish me good luck before the exams. And buying the "Omamori"(lucky charm) from the Hachiman shrine in Japan, so that it'll sweep away all the ominous things from me. She heard 2006 was a bad luck year for the Dragons...so yeah.

Thank you to this special person :) It may be coincidence, or perhaps fate. I just got very happy and encouraged when I saw the leaflet in my mailbox, before heading to school to receive the results. Happy 15th year for you. See you in japan :)

Some photos from results day:

Foursome reunite :)

ANNEEEE!!!!! Miss her :(

Mr Bernard Yeong, one of the most pro Chem teachers in CJC.

MS LIM :) Finally got a C5 (from a C6) for GP. Thanks so much! Visit me in Japan.

Mrs Toh. Chemistry tutor since 1st 3 months...She is pro. Just study as she says, you'll get nothing less than a B.
Ohhh, see Mr Bala behind?? So sweet of them, most of the teachers came to visit us in the classroom.
