story @ Saturday, December 31, 2005

the last day of 2005...time flies really really fast. I'm watching KOUHAKU (red and white singing contest) now. Oh my gosh, w-inds. was like some prince!!! *fangirl mode*

Shall write some reflections of the year. Mmmm, it has been a really good year, lots of new experiences. I'm going to list down all the stuffs i had this year, not in order of importance or something, just randomly.

Came to CJC. Hm, glad i got posted to this sch. Love the people here :)
Spent the 1st 3 months in class 1T30. One super duper fun class. Miss you pple alot and alot!!!
Release of "O" Level results. The grades were quite alrite...except for English...damn it (- -")
Stayed in CJC. Got a new class, 1T37. At first, i was not really happy with the class but now...love it alot. Although we didn't win prizes like the best HT class or something, you guys totally rock ;) Some of you pple are leaving the class...its really sad :( But you guys still belong to the t37 family. So keep in touch!! And those in 2T37, all the best for the 'A' Levels.
Joined council. Haha, council is just full of cool people. LTC, elects camp, PAC opening, teachers' day, open house, grad night, many meetings, many lunch and dinner outings. Its such an honour being part of this council.
Went to the world EXPO at Aichi, Japan.
Went for OCIP in dec. Really really good experience. And i miss the Shan village tons. I wish i can visit them again :)
I like to thank all the people for making the year 2005 a great one for me. Family, friends from secondary school, CJCians, the people i made friends with this year, the Shan people...etc...
Of course...not forgetting dearest dearest "M.O". I needed her support all the way. Next year will be the last year, so i'll treasure it alot and alot. Hope i'll have a chance to see her next year :)

Some songs i've listened to the most this year...

[Bokura no basho] Megumi Ogata
[Perfect Day] w-inds.
[ageha] w-inds.
[Izayoi no tsuki] w-inds.
[Kagami no kuni no Alice] Megumi Ogata
[ENDLESS STORY] Yuna Ito
[Loco lotion] ORANGE RANGE
[KOIBUMI] Megumi Hayashibara
[Koigokoro] Yui Horie
[BELIEVE] Nami Tamaki
[Mimosa] Gospellers
[Boyfriend] aiko
..theres still alot but i just can't remember xD

Okays....time now is 11.37pm. Another 23 mins and here comes year 2006.
ciao/

TWISTER @ Thursday, December 29, 2005

okay, i seriously better start sending new year greetings to my friends in japan..., and for some of my friends in s'pore too.

yesterday was the w-inds. fangirls day. Met alui and wendy in the afternoon...and peiyi came to my place in the night. We did her school's math online quiz together. Crap, i feel so hopeless, i couldn't do 80% of the questions. I better revise on the J1 math syllabus, like...SERIOUSLY.
I remember Mr Lee saying that the J1 topics covers only 40% of the whole 'A' Level math syllabus. Thats quite scary...Cos i forgot most of the 40% work, yet theres still 60% of the work next year @O@. Crap crap crap.

Went back to school today to paint the banner. Haven't touch paint for quite a long time. I may have messed up part of the banner...sorry about that :( I still have the POLARIS banner to touch up at home. Having final facil briefing tomorrow and GRACERS gathering after that :)

Year 2005 is coming to an end... Got alot to reflect on...Maybe shall write that in the next entry.

merry x'mas @ Sunday, December 25, 2005

a merry merry x'mas to all :)

how i spent yesterday: Went out with yining, pei joo and tricia, to celebrate pei joo's b'day and accompanied tricia for her x'mas shopping. I like going out with these girls. We discussed about the holiday homework...crap, realised how behind time i am. Anyway, hope these girls will enjoy their x'mas and happy b'day wishes to pei joo =) Thanks for all the cards too !
Sis went for x'mas countdown party, bro went for x'mas service with his friend...So i had x'mas eve dinner with my mum at home. We bought back dinner from MEIDI-YA, it was a mix of jap and western food. We watched the movie "The grave of fireflies" ( not the animated one). Its this movie about a brother and sister, during world war II, in Japan. Gosh, the movie was so touching, i cried.

And today...x'mas day. I packed my 3 bio files in the morning...plan to do some work later.
Thanks mum for the mug, and sis for the S&K top :)
Actually, i hoped to spend x'mas in Japan, cos i wanted to see this special person. Well, it didn't come true due to the schedule. But, this special person... sent x'mas wishes to us. Gosh, thanks for sparing a thought for us. Your messsage, really made my x'mas :) I love you too >3

missing chiang mai @ Friday, December 23, 2005

Went shopping with my sis in the morning, she needed to get presents for her friend and bf. Yupss, we managed to get something for mum too. Decided to have lunch in bistro Delifrance, this place changed really alot...theres menus like fish n chips and pastas. But i guess the service is getting worse. Anyway, we next went to heeren to use up the hmv vouchers. I bought an album by ORANGE RANGE and a w-inds. dvd :) Yeah, w-inds. rocks.

I left my sister in hmv, and joined my OCIP team mates in cine. Yes, todays the day when we'll get a treat from mr leong cos we managed to survive the cold water bath in chiang mai. The 4 guys, Nicole and myself went to catch the movie " The chronicles of NARNIA" before the dinner. Hmmm, the movie was quite alright, very fantasy-ish. Haha, athlan was quite cool.
After the movie, we walked to ps and met up with the rest in SWENSENS. Thanks nicole and ms ng for the x'mas prezzie!!
We had a mini birthday party for the december babies---Lemo, Xuming and Sherlyn. Ms Ng ordered one Giant Earthquake with a candle on the ice cream. Mr Leong opened his laptop and we viewed the OCIP photos while eating the ice cream. Sadly, the laptop ran out of battery so we didn't get to see all. Gosh, i miss Chiang Mai !
But as we discussed, its difficult for us to go back there. All the transportation, accomodation and stuffs...Sigh, i wish i'll have a chance to go there again :(

bring me to life @ Wednesday, December 21, 2005

Had pre-facil training camp on Monday and Tuesday. The Jitterbugs Mass Dance is so cute =)
But my facil partner weren't present for both days. My house is POLARIS, the north star.
Three cheers to the orientation main com for their efforts. I'm sorry i'm not contributing very much :( There was a steamboat dinner with the 30th and 31st student council on Monday. Thanx jean for organising it x) Had fun time cooking, eating, and listening to my seniors talking bout clubbing.

Less than two weeks till school reopens...!! And my homework is far from completion. Crap, and i need to study for the bio test. I went to Toa Payoh to meet up with Yi Chun today. We planned to study but in the end spent 90% of the time chit-chatting...Just too busy talking about my OCIP trip and Yi Chun's Taiwan trip. But i managed to get my Chem assignment done ( some questions uncompleted though). Alrighto, next is Bio (went through cellular respiration this morning).

I guess i better get some works done tonight. Going for x'mas shopping with my sis on friday...followed by the dinner with the OCIP team. I miss Chiang Mai, very much :(

pieces of promise @ Sunday, December 18, 2005

yeppie :) went out with lui and wendy for lunch at holland village today! It was kinda last minute planned...sorry for the sudden time and place change (^^;)
Anyway, holland v has alot of good restaurants. I like the atmosphere and all. Wendy brought us to this nice cafe...western food, reasonable price, reasonable taste :p We were there lunching for an hour plus, talked about certain stuffs. Its great that all 3 of us want to take guitar classes :D
Yeshh, i want to learn how to play guitar for some certain reasons, haha.
Another good news, 70% confirmed that we're having our JB shopping trip :)
i love meeting up with my good frens from sc. We can talk about lots and lots of stuff.

~a road home @ Sunday, December 18, 2005

yes...and the reflections. Hmm...i guess what i really liked about the Shan village is their politeness. I'm Jap so i'm quite fussy about respect and politeness...Its quite sad that alot of people now lost such basic manners. The people there are really nice, REALLY. It was seriously a warm environment, and i like such places. Although we are strangers, they treated us very well. Somebody told me, " Maybe thats because we were their guests". Hm, yes maybe. But i don't think its just that.
Next...simplicity. Their life there is really simple. I don't mean it in a bad sense.
For example, just a paper crane or a paper balloon can make a child there happy. Here in S'pore, what makes a little boy happy...GBA, PS, X-Box, Computer Games...etc... (--_--)
Seriously, its the thought that counts...not the material. Playing with the kids, spending my time there, i guess it was one of the most joyful time i had this year.

I got inspired in many ways. I experienced new things and learnt many things.
Would this OCIP trip affect the decision i'll make in the future...I don't know, but i just know this fact; I want to go there again.

back. @ Friday, December 16, 2005

hi pple, i'm back from Chiang Mai. Great trip, indeed. I learnt alot and enjoyed alot too.
OCIP rocks.

From Chiang Mai airport, we got into 3 cars and had a 3-4 hrs ride to the Shan village. The facilities in the village were...better than i expected. But the first time when i saw the toilet, it was like..."Oh my gosh...how am i going to wash up.". Heh, but got used to it from Day 2 onwards.
From Day2-Day4, we became the "teachers" of the school there. Sarah, Wee Kiat and myself took charge of the Grade 3 students. Some were mischievous, some were quiet, most were shy. Honestly, i've underestimated the kids there. They're just grade 3 and they are doing 2-digits multiplicity already...like..." 95 x 26" ??? Wow, i can't work that out w/o my calculator.
We tested their spelling, conducted origami session, colouring session and outdoor drawing session. The outdoor drawing session was fun :) The small fellows coloured my drawing...hehe i wanna put it up in my room. Leaving the school was kinda sad, cos some of them are not from the village we stayed.
Alright, back at the village, we spent most of the time playing with the kids. Folding paper cranes, paper balloons, flying kites, story-telling, playing some games....etc....
Cultural Night was great...but i fell sick few hours before the actual thing. So, sorry to my team members for not helping out much in the preparation, and much thanks to Ms Ng for her hospitality :) What we had during cultural night---Fashion parade( where we wore ethnic costumes) , Mass Dance ( the Ndp and orientation combined) , Pass the Ball game ( just threw the inflated ball to the audience) , Singing ( some ndp songs) , and the Shan wave ( same idea as the Kallang wave). Xu Ming's santa claus was hilarious, we had great laugh while making the beard too :p After the Shan people's performances, they had some karaoke-session thing where anybody could just go up to the stage and sing. It was quite draggy but we managed to listen to Mr Leong's singing :D
We left the village and spent two days at the La Hu Orphanage. The kids there were not as open as the people of Shan. But i at least enjoyed the singing session--Hokey Pokey, London Bridge, Mah Poh Leh ( or wadeva u spell it). The cultural night there was...hmmm, one happening. The ribon/cloth of my kimono got loosened while dancing. What happened after that...i'll leave it to your imagination, hahas.
The last two days, we went down to Chiang Mai city to shop :))) I got a fake playboy cap, and my first pair of levi's jeans from the shopping centre. Its not imitation alright.
Night market...got really impressed by Lemo and Zhang Mei's bargaining skills. Woo, i managed to buy things cheaper due to their help :) There wasn't any accessories or souveneirs that caught my eyes. So, i didn't manage to buy back souveneirs for many, sorry for that :(
That night gathering at room 602 was like woah. We played cards till 12 plus and played " Truth or Dare" till like 2 plus?? Most of the guys slept during the game, sigh. The girls chatted till really late. Haha, girls' gossiping sessions are always fun :)

Wow...i think this is my longest blog entry. I shall write my reflections and all those in the next entry. Those who bothered to read all the above chanks, thanx alot.
i'm going to upload the pics on my webshots page by today!!

JLPT @ Sunday, December 04, 2005

Hurrr, tired from the Japanese Language Proficiency Test i had this afternoon. I must say, the test was harder than i expected...Well, duh, its grade one. The comprehension was quite tough...*realised* whether it is in English, Chinese or Japanese language...i just dislike doing comprehensions... x) Haha, its over alreadi, just need to wait for the results ;)

Hoho, my mum is coming back from Japan tonight...gonna go to the airport later.

two days to Thai....!!!

Ishin-den-shin @ Saturday, December 03, 2005

i went to school in the afternoon for another ocip meeting. Gosh, its so fast, we're leaving in less than 4 days time!!! I'm excited, yet worried. Excited cos we can interact with the pple there, and its completely a new environment. We're going there for a purpose, so let's make sure that we'll do a great job ;) and i really hope the pple there will enjoy our company.

went home right after the meeting, changed, and headed to town to meet with lui :)) Haven't met her for...2 months plus?? I rmb the last time i saw her was when we went to my sis's dance concert together. Anyway, lui joined me at perlini's silver to get a gift for our fren. We waited for peiyi and off we went to fiona's b'day party.

Meeting up with secondary sch friends is just so fun. Like...we are walking on different roads, but theres still some connection between us :) Well, at least i have with my w-inds. fan club and anime craze pple ( u know who u are). Okay, so now we have plans for amanda/keita/ryuichi's b'day and the jb shopping trip suggested by wendy. Seriously hope it'll come true.

It was 11pm and we started to leave fiona's place. Thanx for the food, and happie b'day girl :)
Took mrt back to the station with peiyi. Several things have been bothering this girl for the past few months. Just don't think too much about it, rmb you have such a supportive gang behind you :)

I woke up till 1 plus to read BLEACH book 20!!! Haha, its so happening and byakuya rocks ;)
Hinamori Momo is cute too x) Heh, ironic, got the same name as her.

sian-ness @ Thursday, December 01, 2005

Again...rotting at home. I don't feel like going out cos i know that i need to get some things done. Managed to solve some chem tutorial questions, i hope to finish them by today. After i got irritated by the equilibria question, i decided to play with the computer :p Yes...i know, bad habit, hurhur. I also worked on the charts for OCIP. Buying the charts from popular will be much easier, but making original ones can be quite fun :p Saves money too.

I hate the feeling of being alone at home, so lonely :((Well, at least my mum gave me a phone call from Japan, YAY :) Now i'm talking to sg online, haha, guess who this mystery person is ;)
One hint: " Hot". Haha, dats for you, sg.

Kae, i shall stop crapping.
Bye ;)

P.s Thanx sis for the shirt !!! :D
