memories @ Saturday, December 30, 2006

so this will be my last post of the year 2006.

Hmm, year 2006 was indeed one hectic, busy, challenging and fruitful one.
I'll miss the time spent with my classmates, councillors, out-of-class friends, i'll even miss the hardships i went through in cjc ( like the time spent mugging for midyears/prelims/A levels :p)
Yea, everything was just so great.

Year 2007 will be another busy one, my life in tokyo will start in March.
Ratio of excited : worried --> 8:2

Anyway, enjoy the last day of 2006 :)

this is going to be a quick entry!
i met up with my primary sch anime gang today at harbour front :))))
Yes, the group consisting of me, andrea, angeline, jelaine, pearlyn and grace!!!!
Missed them too much, the last time we had a gathering was like...3 years ago?

Anyway, i met Angeline and Grace in Harbour Front mrt and headed to vivo city, lunched at food republic, got a notebook(sketchbook rather) at PAGE ONE, Pearlyn joined us there, headed to Carl's Junior, watched pearlyn eat, chatted and draw pictures, Jelaine joined us there, decided to have dinner at my place, BUSed the way back to anchorage, shopped for ingredients in cold storage, Andrea joined us, walked back to my house, watched how my mother cooked corn soup, they stole the recipe, we ate spagetti and corn soup, and....ermm...thats about it.

Felt like we didn't chit chatted very very much, but it still was a great reunion :)
And i realised how much i missed them and how much i treasure them as friends.
Really glad i met them in Primary School, when we went crazy over Rurouni Kenshin, Flame of Recca, Fushigi Yuugi...etc.. xp Without this group, momo didn't become the ever-crazy- always- drawing manga- bishonen freak.

I LOOOOVEEE U GIRLS VERY MUCH :D

Hoping for more gatherings :)
Oh, and thanks for the preeetayyy drawings and the random scribbles on my sketch book :p

yes, i'll rmb that my dearest miyu kept hunting for food.

reiha? my twin howl? nanao chan? never mind, we must go for cosplay together again.

graceeee :) DEATH NOTE COSPLAY DEFINITELY! PHOTO SHOOT AT LEAST!
STINKY? PEARLYNNN, I still like ur handwriting, aha.
JELAINEE :D Rmb in Primary sch, a lot of pple told us we looked alike...hmm??
Anyway, hope i can go shopping with u one day :p

at the middle of that crossroad @ Wednesday, December 20, 2006

some updates.

I GOT INTO WASEDA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL LIBERAL STUDIES!!!

Well, two feelings:

1.Excited.

Well, I better be because Waseda is one of the prestigious universities in tokyo. The campus environment is very fun and lively :) So i'll be looking forward in joining the various clubs and societies. And...hm...the handkerchief prince, SAITO YUUKI.
haha, yes En Hui, we'll stalk him xD And also, i'm glad my mum is really really happy about it. She reported about my entry to my relatives, and bought 4-D using my examination number...(hey, it was 1 digit different from the 1st prize!!!).
Yup, so i guess she is even more happier than me xp

2.Sentimental

I'll probably be leaving in early or mid March. I'll miss all my friends here. But i want to leave S'pore with a smile on my face,
so yes, i'll try not to be very emotional.

what else...

and yess, i am working!! i'm not rotting at home.

erm, i've started working at the Japanese restaurant called "Nadaman" in Shangri-la Hotel.
Its not as easy as i thought...and the working environment and all are totally new to me, so i hope it'll be a good experience for me. It'll be my first x'mas and ohmisoka(new year's eve) not spent with my family...
honestly, my interest lies more in teaching, so i'm just waiting for the reply from moe.

and then...

things on my list:

1. date with primary anime group on 21st ( miss them too much!!!!)
2. date with yining and peijoo on 24th(?)
3. date with yichun ( i don't care woman, we're going out. U abandoned me for 1 month!)
4. tennis with yingmin and shou lian ( yay!)
5. date with wendy, peiyi and alui to celebrate alui's b'day.
6. council dinner on 23rd(steamboat!)
7. watch DEATH NOTE The last Name. I watched it back in Japan, but i don't care, i want to watch it again!

I just watched the Japanese movie "Midnight Sun" yesterday. Its really sweet, i cried.

and of course, work work work.......

*wheeeee*
BACK!
It was a fantastic trip and i enjoyed the 6 days to the fullest :) Aha, my main purpose of the trip was to take the entrance exam, but it was good so yayyy. I've just received the results, I passed the exams for Tokyo University of Agriculture-Faculty of BioScience. But I am still waiting for the results from Waseda University...Yep, it is suppose to be my first choice, but a few of my mum's friends are "brain-washing" me to go to Tokyo Uni of Agriculture.
I haven't made up my mind yet actually, will just wait for the results.

So anyway, i'm going to write a random report on my trip.

Day1(3rd Dec):
Entrance exam at Tokyo University of Agriculture. The Japanese language paper was quite challenging...but the English paper was.......*speechless*. I think the last time i tried that sort of standard was when i was in P3 or 4. The interview was fun!!!! I was nervous at first, cos it was my first time being interviewed in Japanese but it went well, the university professors were very friendly. No wonder my mum's friends have good impression of that school.

Visited my relatives after the exam.

Day2(4th Dec)

Went shopping with sis in Harajuku.
Dinner with uncle at Shimbashi...
erm, nothing else.
Day3(5th Dec)

Ermmmm, visited relatives in the morning, shopped at Shibuya in the afternoon, dinner at my uncle's place in the night. We had a "dessert buffet" which was totally sinful.

sin!!!!
Day4(6th Dec)
Met up with Mori-family: Mari-san, Marina-chan and Anna-chan!!!!
Kichijouji is a beautiful place to go.

Went to shibuya with mum to catch the movie "DEATH NOTE-the last name-".
YAYYY, so happy i managed to watch it in Japan. It will be out in S'pore on the 28th Dec.
Its a must to watch, seriously!! Tatsuya Fujiwara is a genius.

Day5(7th Dec)
Day trip to Izu-Atagawa!!!

Visit to strawberry house, lunch at Yamato Ryokan, hotspring!!!!!

like one typical scene in Japan Hour.
Day 6(8th Dec):
Back to Singapore.
Its 4.15am in the morning now...But I am not sleepy at all. Shall pack all my goodies.
And yes, no shopping for me for the next few days...
All I have to do, start working, lose the weight i gained in Japan, clear up my room for new year cleaning, send x'mas cards and new year greetings, hmmm thats it for now.

Missing everyone @ Saturday, December 02, 2006

Now that prom night is over, I am seriously missing all the people from CJ :(( All my classmates, council mates, out-of-class friends, teachers...etc...
But i guess it was a good closure to my jc life. Just that, i regretted not taking photos with alot of people (eg. terence,daniel,kw...etc..), not present when my class had photo taking, not joining my class at glutton's bay after the party :(
Yes, some regrets but overall, it was good.

I'm glad i took my mum's advice of not forcing myself to wear a v-neck dress or a tube when i am not really used to wearing dresses. Haha, yup, and i love my prom dress :)
Photos are uploaded right here.

-------------------

I had my entrance exam for Waseda University at West Coast Road this morning, and i met this RJC girl who taking the exam too. She was really friendly so I hope both of us can make it through, at least I'll have somebody i know when the term starts in April.

The first part was a writing test...It was just like GP, we were given 3 questions to choose from, and write and essay about it...

"What is the problem today that is the biggest threat to world peace?"

Isn't this so GP-ish xD But the time given was only an hour, so both of us were writing furiously.

And the second part was the interview, which was conducted via a plasma screen.
Meaning, the interviewers were in Japan, so we communicated by the screen. Moreover, the image and sound were really clear, and there was no lag time or anything. COOLNESS.
We'll never know what the japs can do xD
The interviewers were quite friendly too so the exam went well, i hope.

What i found out is, the Japanese students at the senior high school are really kind and friendly. When i was waiting for my turn for the interview outside the reception room, I saw this school boy and he smiled bowed slightly when he saw me. Haha, I've never seen a local sch boy doing that. And when i was leaving the sch, two school girls came to talk to me, and commented on my bag. I was quite stunned but yea, they were really cute and kind :)

Oh btw, i wore my cj uniform today...cos my mum told me it'll be more formal and its the normal thing. After the exams, i went down to orchard and novena, so whichever CJCian who saw me must have thought that i'm nuts...xD Wearing uniform even after prom night.

Now i'll have to prepare for my exam tmr in japan. Flying there tonight. I haven't packed my things actually...omg what am i doing online.

MSG TO MY CLASS T37!
I've set up a online class album at PHOTOBUCKET, so please upload whatever photos there. ESP THOSE FROM GRAD NIGHT. CONTACT HUI TING FOR MORE DETAILS :))
