if i didn't say the word @ Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Taking a break from the "mass-manufacturing" of grad night masks. Its really fun, and I hope my class will like it. Prom is like...TOMORROW. I can't believe, i can't believe it...Its just too fast. I can't say I am very excited for prom(though i like making masks...), cos the post-prom plans for my class is quite screwed. Oh wells, see how it goes.

-------------------------
I enjoyed the CI wing 4th stayover very very much. Good movies, good snacks(heck care diet plan till prom..), good games, good walk, good talks, good prata, good photos..etc...

Guess the shadows.
I thought of uploading the short video which i took during the walk, but the quality is really BAD and its AUDIO-LESS. ARGH.

------------------------------
By the way, A BIG WORD OF APOLOGY FOR KHENG WEE,TERENCE, PEI JOO and all those who I pang-sehed today. I dislike pang seh-ing people at the very last minute but I had no choice...I'm really sorry. Since time was spared for me, I promise the mask would be of reasonable standard.
BACK TO MASK MAKING. ciao :)

delighting u always @ Monday, November 27, 2006

What makes a good tennis game:
  1. Wilson tennis racket and balls
  2. My pretty pink adidas bag
  3. COLD Pocari Sweat drink
  4. SPA 50 Sunblock Lotion
  5. SAMURAI BLUE towel
  6. A good opponent.

Aha, so today's tennis game with Terence and Kheng Wee was FUN :) Apparently, Yining and Pei Joo pang-sehed us. I played horrendously, and I'm still much un-skilled compared to terence. But I had fun so YEAH :D Thanks to my SPA 50 Sunblock lotion and the whitening lotion I applied after shower, my sun tan isn't that bad *phew* There were 3 Japanese housewives playing in the court beside us, and they were wearing long sleeved shirts, and long pants...Aha, they can burn the fats but i think I'll die of heat stroke after an hour x)

--------

Anyway, today was pretty productive. Firstly, I MADE MY MASK!!!! AND I LOVE IT :) Mask-making is so exciting!! Just that the base for the mask, bought from spotlight, is costly($4). But I do not have the time make it from paper mash, plus I managed to save the cost by getting the materials from Chinatown :) I still have extra materials so if u don't mind having a mask on grad night, pls let me make one for you xD Its seriously fun and I want to make more...I'll just need the $4 to buy the base from SPOTLIGHT.

My mum found the mask Andrea and I made back in 2002, when we were Sec2 and the year we went for our first COSPLAY. Awww, Miyu and Larva...I don't mind lending the mask out actually. Heres the mask.

ANYONE??

----

I cleared up my room in the afternoon. At first, I couldn't afford to let go of my 2 years of workloads but oh wells, as if I can keep them forever...But I'll keep my study guides, bio book, some notes :p And GOODNESS, I found my sec 4 prelim papers, all my drawings, rough workings...etc...etc...I think i've only cleared 1/4 of my room, so I'll have to work on it again tmr.

-----

BTW, I set up my Jap blog last night so i'll just leave the addie for fun :D

http://peachronicle.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/

Well, i'm in a happy mood today so hope tmr will be a good day as well :)

happy faces @ Sunday, November 26, 2006

these were the happy faces seen on the last day of 'A' Levels.

And we watched HAPPY FACE, eh no, HAPPY FEET.

------------------------
i'm getting frustrated by the post-exam days which have been quite unproductive,
but the problem is I don't know what I am suppose to produce.
Study? I don't think so.
Find a job? When I am leaving for Japan on Saturday?
Play the computer? I'm doing it now but am quite tired of it already. I seriously do not understand how my brother play warcraft half of the day, everyday.
and i have finally chosen my prom dress on my 4th round of shopping. But I still have to look for the shoes, make the mask and self-arrange the dress(with my mum's help).
My to-do list for this week, so that i won't get lost.
1. Clean up my room, get rid of all the notes and tys.
2. Settle my prom attire.
3. Read the library book
4. Bake some pastries, cos i plan to bake a cake for x'mas.

post-exam past times @ Friday, November 24, 2006

Prom shopping with Yining and PeiJoo today was fabulous. Dresses after dresses, shoes after shoes, but i was the one trying the dresses 75% of the time.
Yea, we were suppose to shop for prom attire, but I bought some unrelated clothes xD
A $25 jacket and some accessories from Dorothy Perkins( i met Ms Giam there!)
Urgh, the VNC pumps was in my wishlist but it was sold out in all branches *sobs*
The Dorothy Perkins skirt was very very very nice, ideal colour, ideal length, ideal design, non-ideal price. Oh and i'll be going to chinatown tmr to check out the dress phy msged me about.

Gosh, I should control my greed, like SERIOUSLY before i dislike myself.
At least both PeiJoo and I found the dresses which we will most likely wear for prom.
All in all, a big LOVE and THANK YOU to the 2 girls for the great shopping trip we had today.
And Yining, whom already got her prom gown, but has generously spent her time accompanying us, giving sound advices :)

Reminds me.
All 3 of us miss Tricia very very much. Tricia, are u reading this entry??
U still owe us the foursome neoprint x) And the outing to celebrate our 4 birthdays.

By the way, our group has a name now, just like how alicia/xinlin/celina are known as the "family unit". Yining, Pei Joo and myself belong to the T37 DIET CLUB ( name suggested by jing sian or sharon if i'm not wrong...)

Taken yesterday,
at plaza singapura =)
I'll definitely miss the school days spent with the diet club...
including the times when Pei Joo bullied Yining, Yining whining about mole concept/ionic equilibria/chi-square/magnification and just everything which got to do with math, staying in class during breaks completing math and chemistry tutorials, only buying baos during breaks...etc..etc...Getting a lil' emo, should place a period here.
-----------------------------
Other things that happened today:
Went to school in the morning to pass Jeanette the money for the concert tickets, and to collect my bio paper 1.
OF COURSE..
CONGRATS TO ALL WHO HAVE FINISHED THEIR EXAMS :D
Sigh, 'A' Level education was truly one rollar coaster ride...And i woudn't have survive it without the help from all my friends and teachers. Let me thank all those who have helped me in one way or another.
(no particular order)
JEANETTE! although we take totally different subjects u have been a fabulous study buddy and i'll definitely miss the times we mugged together in the sch library(in june), at the grand stand benches, pac benches, delifrance and will of course miss the ban mien xD
Thanks for the company and all the encouraging smses. Btw, i am playing tontie on my house computer now. Help, i'm getting addicted to it.
EUGENE for peer-tutoring me. Nothing about nylon66 was asked but i still can remember the structure -CO-(CH2)4-CO-NH-(CH2)6-NH-. (hope i'm correct) And i think u are one good teacher, so its just that i'm a bad student x)
GIRLS FROM MY CLASS who i studied with.
Cristal,Minhui,Sharon,Phy,Yining,Huiting..etc..
Especially Hui Ting for opening your house for Bio meetings, answering whatever bio questions i had, and for inviting me for dinner few days before the bio option paper. It was really heart-warming :)
GUYS FROM MY CLASS for the 'healthy' competition.
You guys are really scary...Nevertheless, it served as a motivation to me :)
MR LYNCOLN LEE for the math consultation!!! U are the best math tutor one can have.
L2FC forever, all of us love you, Thank u so muchy, and pls stop being so pessimistic!!
MR YEE for the chem consultations and the pretty datebook u gave me :) Haha, i think i'll have to bake u a cake for your b'day next year. Take care!
MR BALA for the bio consultations in and out of college hours. Plus the numerous times we chatted on msn xD Yup, rmb to treat your gf well..
MRS TOH for the chem tutorials and consultations, teaching us to be very precise and meticulous in answering questions. I had u as my chem tutor all along, since 1st 3 months.
Oh, I still remember the joke u told us in class.
" Why do white bears dissolve in water??"
....
"Because they are polar"
........(-_-")
MS LIM!!!!! For all the GP classes filled with fun and laughter. Seriously, I didn't dislike GP because Ms Lim was my teacher. I'll miss the times when we "insulted" the class guys, and when u secretly gave us info about kiwi xD Good luck for JLPT, i can help u for that :p
THE LIBRARIAN who has been really friendly to me, i don't know her name cos i just address her as "auntie"...
YI CHUN who was always there for me whenever i needed a listening ear. Yes, Toa Payoh is such a convenient place for both of us :) And please look out for my *cough cough* from macdonalds. I'm sure you'll get your target resuls for 'O' Levels, but I won't forgive u for not putting cj as your second choice.
JEAN(seah), my secondary school friends for the encouraging msges :)
HER, because I know that she has always been by my side whenever I need her...
I'm sorry I can't return anything to you, but please remember that you'll have my love and support forever and ever. Hope I'll have a chance to meet you next year, in March or something :)
And most importantly my mum and sister for supporting me all the way.
I couldn't list all the things they've done for me, cos its really ALOT, and it was more of emotional support.
I do have some feeling of emptiness, but i shall keep it to myself...
Anyway, round 3 of prom shopping tomorrow! Please say that i'm crazy.

never the end @ Thursday, November 23, 2006

while the rest of the world is celebrating that the 'A' Level examinations are over, i'll now have to prepare for my university entrance exam.

2nd December
Waseda University Writing test and interview
.

In Singapore, Waseda Shibuya High School

3rd December
Tokyo University of Agriculture(No-dai) writing test and interview

In Japan, Tokyo Setagaya-ku

Great, I'll be flying to Tokyo right after my exam on the 2nd, hop on to the limousine bus from Narita Airport all the way to the city, praying hard that i'll make it on time for the exam in Setagaya.

The good thing is that there are no books to study from, I'll just have to improve on my English and Japanese language. But some kanji exercise books to complete (- -")
Speaking of which, good luck to ms lim and jeremy who'll be taking their JLPT in december.

My greatest worry, is that i've been causing too much troubles to my mother. She has been handling most of the administrative work for my uni entry(sending documents/calling the office), so that i could concentrate on my a levels. But that makes me feel awful cos afterall it is my entrance exam. And all the examination fees costed a bomb of money, but again, theres nothing i could do. She doesn't speak out any complaints, just telling me "its alright", but that actually worsen the feeling in me..

No, the only thing i can do now is to get accepted in the university of me and my mum's choice, and get one of the scholarships to reduce the burden.

At least, all these preparations for my university entry would help me escape from the "emptiness"of post-'A' Levels.

Hope the prom shopping with my 2 fav.girls tmr will be good.

Using Yichun's com @ Tuesday, November 21, 2006

ALOHALO. I'm at Yichun's house now, exploiting her computer xD
Yup, i'm in Toa Payoh again
Aha, the reasons why i come to Toa Payoh almost everyday to study

1. I can disturb Yichun whenever i'm bored/tired. Plus her baby sister is really really kawaii x)
2. Consult professor Toh Hui Ting whenever i have a bio question
3. ....Something related to Macdonalds. Yichun, u know it!
4. I like the cafe mocha and beef rendang from Delifrance, milk shake from MOS burger and mc flurry from macs. Eh, what happened to my diet plan till prom (o_O)

Random but my favourite song of the day is [Eight Days A Week] by The Beatles :D

My heartfelt Condolences @ Monday, November 20, 2006

SCGS "mee pok uncle" ah chek passed away last week...
Attended his wake at Toa Payoh on saturday together with Amanda(Alui),Peiyi and Yichun.
"Mee pok uncle" is easily one of the most fond memories SCGS girls have, i'm sure my friends will agree with me. Everyone just loves the noodles that he made for us.
I remember Ms Heng told us once, "the two things that SCGS graduates would miss are the clean toilets and Ah Chek's noodles"...
Thank you so so much, please rest peacefully.

We heard some recent SC news from Mrs Tay (the primary school teacher) who was also at his wake. Everything is changing, Ms Irene Kwok will be retiring, Mrs Chan Sock Har will be transfering out, Ms Heng has retired, no more ah chek's mee pok...etc...
Well, I just hope SC's standard won't drop even after Ms Heng's retirement.

-----------------------------------

Random.

Yining slapped me(lightly!) for saying that " Now that Chemistry is over, I will not have many chances to study the chem guidebook thoroughly again. Thats quite sad."
I'M SERIOUS.

Song.

This is my favourite song currently =)

Woman I can hardly express
My mixed emotions at my thoughtlessness
After all I'm forever in your debt
And woman I will try to express
My inner feelings and thankfulness
For showing me the meaning of success

Ooh, well, well
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Ooh, well, well
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo

Woman I know you understand
The little child inside of the man
Please remember my life is in your hands
And woman hold me close to your heart
However distant don't keep us apart
After all it is written in the stars

Ooh, well, well
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Ooh, well, well
Doo, doo, doo, doo, dooWellll

Woman please let me explain
I never meant to cause you sorrow or pain
So let me tell you again and again and again
I love you, yeah, yeah

Now and foreverI love you, yeah, yeah
Now and foreverI love you, yeah, yeah
Now and foreverI love you, yeah, yeah
