DNA workshop @ Friday, November 18, 2005

DNA workshop at the Science Centre was quite interesting. We used this micropipette thingi to pipette out the samples, kinda cool. Basically, we learnt more about DNA fingerprinting, watched videos, and did experiments. The videos were enriching and it managed to keep me awake throughout the whole workshop xD. Btw, i forgot all the genetic engineering stuffs after the promos. So yar, the workshop served as a revision for me. Plus i used to DISLIKE dna replication and genetic engineering. But after today, i started to like those topics ABIT. Well, this kind of workshop actually works.

By the way, life science apparatus really cost alot of money. The lab supervisor was talking about how ex the micropippete, the agar bottle and the wadeva apparatus are....i was tempted to ask "okae, HOW MUCH IS THIS WHOLE ENTIRE LAB??" :p

The workshop ended early and we needed to wait for the bus for 1 hour. So Tricia, Cristal, Hui Ting and i explored the Science Centre to kill time. The Human Body exhibition and the Marine Exhibition were quite good. Other than that, i guess its about average.

Okae, so now i'm at least a little motivated to do the bio holiday assighment. I beta do it quick before the motivation is gone. haha :D
